**Senior Golang Developer- Hybrid** **Cognizant's Digital Engineering** practice is seeking a highly qualified **Senior Golang Developers** with experience developing and building high-performing, scalable, enterprise applications. You will be part of a digital software team that works on high-demand applications. Our engineers have a passion for high-quality, reliable and maintainable code. Above all, we judge success by the success of our team and the happiness of our customers. **Location** : Atlanta, Georgia We are seeking a **Senior Golang Developer** with 5+ years of overall experience and a minimum of 2+ years' experience using Golang to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems. In this role, you will create efficient system architectures using Golang and MySQL, containerize applications with Docker, and deploy solutions on Amazon Web Services (AWS). You will be engaged in API design and microservices development to build robust, flexible systems. You must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future. Cognizant will not sponsor H-1B or other U.S. work authorization for this role. **Required Skills** + **Golang** : Proficiency in Go to develop efficient, scalable backend services. + **MySQL** : Experience in designing, managing, and optimizing relational databases to support data-intensive applications. + **System Design and Architecture** : Ability to architect complex systems with scalability, reliability, and performance in mind. + **Docker** : Expertise in containerizing applications to streamline development, testing, and deployment workflows. + **Amazon Web Services (AWS):** Hands-on experience with AWS for deploying, managing, and scaling cloud-based applications. + **API Design & Microservices Architecture** : Strong background in designing robust APIs and developing modular microservices for flexible system integration. + **Version Control:** Proficiency in Git or similar systems for effective source code management. + **Agile Methodologies** : Experience working within Agile or Scrum frameworks to iteratively develop and deliver high-quality software. + **Security Best Practices** : Knowledge of implementing security measures in both code and infrastructure to protect applications from vulnerabilities. + **Teamwork and Communication** : Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and communicate technical concepts clearly. **Nice-to-Have Skills** + **PHP** : Additional experience with PHP for legacy system integration or web development tasks. + **Healthcare/Payment Industry Experience** : Familiarity with the healthcare or payment domains to better understand industry-specific challenges. + **HIPAA, PII, and PCI DSS Standards** : Understanding of regulatory requirements for protecting sensitive data in healthcare and finance. + **Infrastructure as Code** : Experience with tools and practices for automating infrastructure provisioning and management, such as Terraform or CloudFormation. **Work model:** We believe hybrid work is the way forward as we strive to provide flexibility wherever possible.
