Registered Nurse – Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Travel Position Location: Denver, CO Job Type: Travel Contract Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 3×12 Days (5:00 AM – 5:00 PM) Pay: $2,030.40/week (plus $2,350 completion bonus per contract, up to $7,050 after three contracts) Job Description We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel assignment in Denver, CO. This specialized ICU cares for high-acuity cardiac and neuro patients, providing advanced life support, continuous hemodynamic monitoring, and complex post-operative management. The ideal candidate will possess strong critical care skills, be comfortable managing ventilators and invasive lines, and demonstrate a collaborative, team-oriented approach to patient care. Key Responsibilities

• Deliver expert nursing care to critically ill cardiac and neuro patients requiring continuous monitoring and complex interventions.
• Manage ventilators, invasive lines, cardiac drips, and hemodynamic monitoring systems (including Swan-Ganz catheters).
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and interpret cardiac monitoring data to identify and respond to clinical changes.
• Assist with advanced procedures such as intubations and central line placements.
• Administer medications, fluids, and blood products accurately in compliance with hospital protocols.
• Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary ICU staff to develop individualized patient care plans.
• Provide compassionate education and emotional support to patients and their families regarding treatment and recovery.
• Maintain meticulous documentation within the Meditech EMR system.
• Uphold safety, infection control, and ethical care standards in all clinical activities.
• Contribute to a supportive team culture focused on patient advocacy and positive outcomes.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Colorado or a compact state.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred).
• Minimum of 2 years of recent ICU experience (Cardiac or Neuro ICU preferred).
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination and recent tuberculosis test.
• Strong clinical expertise in cardiac monitoring, ventilator management, and invasive line care.
• Experience with neuro and medical ICU populations preferred.
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR strongly preferred.
• Excellent teamwork, critical thinking, and communication skills.
