Job Description

Bognar and Company, Inc. seeks an Inside Sales Engineer in Pittsburgh, PA (this is an in-office position) responsible for processing customer orders, ensuring product specifications match client requirements, and supporting sales operations. Specific duties include: (i) Order Processing & Management: Entering and managing customer orders in the company's customized software, ensuring accuracy in specifications, quantities, and delivery schedules; (ii) Sales Support & Customer Interaction: Working closely with customers to understand their needs, provide product recommendations, and ensure they receive the correct materials as needed; (iii) Material and Product Expertise: Leveraging engineering knowledge and experience in construction material evaluation to analyze product specifications and ensure the right materials are selected for customer applications; (iv) Issue Resolution: Investigating and resolving discrepancies related to orders, deliveries, and production and coordinating with production and logistics teams to ensure smooth fulfillment; (v) Production and Sales Data Analysis: Monitoring sales trends, customer demand, and plant production data to optimize order processing and forecast inventory needs; (vi) Collaborating with Internal Teams: Working with sales representatives, production managers, and logistics personnel to ensure timely and accurate delivery of orders; (vii) Customer Relationship Management: Maintaining strong relationships with key clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and repeat business; and (viii) Process Improvement and Reporting: Using Excel and other data tools to track order patterns, analyze sales data, and suggest operational improvements.

Must have a bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a directly related engineering field plus three (3) months work experience involving inspection, material analysis, and/or order management within manufacturing, construction, industrial and/or supply chain environments.

Must have any experience with data analysis, order processing, and logistics coordination.

Must also have knowledge (from any completed university-level coursework, seminars, workshops, or real-world, hands-on experience) of: (i) order entry software and CRM tools; and (ii) Microsoft Excel for data tracking, analysis, and reporting.

Experience can be concurrent.
