Boston Speech Therapy is excited to announce an opening for a Bilingual (Spanish speaking) Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA). In this role, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist to assist in delivering therapy services to individuals with communication disorders. Your bilingual skills will help bridge communication gaps, making a significant impact on the lives of clients who require services in multiple languages. This position is perfect for those passionate about supporting diverse populations in achieving their communication goals.

The role is primarily based in a school setting and offers flexible hours to accommodate your availability.

Responsibilities

  • Assist licensed Speech Language Pathologist in conducting assessments and evaluations of bilingual patients
  • Implement treatment plans developed by the Speech Language Pathologist
  • Provide therapy sessions in both languages to enhance speech and language skills
  • Monitor and document student progress
  • Coordinate with families and caregivers to educate them on communication strategies
  • Collaborate with the Speech Language Pathologist and other professionals to ensure comprehensive care

Requirements

  • State certification or licensure as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
  • Fluency in English and another language (Spanish preferred)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities
  • Willingness to follow directions and work under supervision
  • Desire to expand knowledge and skills in the field of Speech Language Pathology

Benefits
