Job Description

The Audio/Visual Technician is responsible for design, setup, running, and take down of audio/visual (A/V) equipment used throughout the corporate campus. The Audio/Visual Technician will also provide technical assistance and support throughout the building and will also provide technical assistance and support during events as requested or as needed. The Audio/Visual Technician will be familiar with the building, its equipment, policies, programs, and services. **RESPONSIBILITIES** + Setup and teardown A/V equipment for meetings and various functions around the building. + Troubleshooting A/V equipment when there are technical questions or problems related to A/V equipment and identifying appropriate solutions. + Reading and interpreting room diagrams with respect to A/V setups. + Serve as on-sight A/V support for events that take place on campus + Provide basic instruction on the operation of A/V equipment to customers as necessary. + Assist in weekly inventory of A/V equipment. + Work with manufacturers and vendors to develop relationships related to equipment servicing (technical support, securing return authorizations, etc). + Maintain tickets by assigned status; updates/follow-up required within specified SLA urgency. + Manage calendar assignments and coordinate with Field Service Techs daily. + Meets financial requirements by submitting information for budgets; monitoring expenses. + Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations. + Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential. + Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. + Documents specific duties, activities, problems solved and issues resolved + Assists in the documentation of the network, applications and resources on the network in conjunction with the public service staff. + Attends meetings and serves on committees, as requested + Coordinate with the Trainer to set up and take down A/V equipment, as well as any other equipment needed for meetings + Coordinates with upper management to setup new offices as needed. + Performs additional duties and assignments as requested **Qualifications** **Education/Certification:** + **High School graduate** **Experience:** + **5+ Years of Audio/Video Experience** **PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS** **Experience:** + **Audio (Program and Speech, DSP based systems)** + **Projection and Display Devices** + **Control Systems** + **Audio and Video Teleconferencing** + **Digital Signage Systems** + **Video Wall Display Systems** + **RF Systems** + **Remote Monitoring** + **Unified Communications** + **Internal IT & AV Technologies and Infrastructure** + **PC's - MAC & Windows OS** **Skills/Abilities:** + **Evaluate critical systems, prioritize workflow and determine solutions** + **Wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.** + **Excellent written and verbal communication skills** + **Interpret and apply laws, regulations and policies** + **Provide technical assistance for computer problems** + **Read and understand technical manuals** + **Work for extended time at keyboard/terminal** + **Maintain effective working relationships with supervisor and coworkers** + **Work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings** **_Paycom is an equal opportunity employer and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any kind.
